little-ones-with-hands-out_726Giving back to the communities that support us is always a treat.  One such splurge  is the annual John Hay Elementary School Move-A-Thon held each year in October. So many of our clients and friends attend public schools on Queen Anne , supporting this event  is a great way for us to say thank you.

We have been proud supporters of this event for many years and have been so happy to include some of our extended family –  Quality Plumbing, Wilson Tile & Shearer Painting – as sponsors. sponsor-tee-shirt_726 The kids , parents & teachers run laps and raise funds for educational  programs. Seems like a small thing but  the spirit & camaraderie of the day inspiring. harper-foreground-shot_726 pink-hair-girl-shot_726

In the spirit of October there are plenty of colorful hairstyles, silly hats, wigs and costumes donned by all. Teachers really go all out. Ms.-Burke_726 And the PE teacher decked out in rainbow wig and pink leotard & tutu is always a highlight of the day. Mr.-Sturm_726

Parents along the course rally the troops and pass out water cups & count laps Parent-volunteers_726  …. Doughnuts & apple slices for après race… Ms. Erin playing DJ ….. what’s not to love about a good old fashioned Move-A-Thon!!! P1012730_726
