Graphiti
This journal post is over-due. It should have been written right after we launched our website. But alas…..here we are. Much like bringing home a new baby… little did we know our job would only just be beginning once the website launched. But now 6 months later, we are coming out of our “new parents” fog and can finally write those long overdue thank you notes!
We want to raise a glass (or more aptly give a digital hug) to Graphiti Design. Working with the Graphiti team to create our new website, we found a truly satisfying collaboration with an exceptionally strong design team. Through the website re-design process they have become a partner and friend of JAS Not just a vendor hired to complete a job… Kevin, Andrew & Angie heard and understood what we were attempting to accomplish with the new site and shared their wisdom and talent when we came up short on ideas and expertise.
We had decided that after seven years our website although satisfactory, was outdated and not a strong & true reflection of JAS as a company or culture. What we really needed was not a remodel but a new home.
It was important to find a firm that “gets us”. Our greatest hope was that a new website could successfully express what JAS Design Build is and does. But even more importantly we wanted to share our company culture in an authentic and honest way. This being no small order, we interviewed 5 firms finally realizing that Graphiti was a great fit. They are designer-builders in the virtual and tangible world and from the beginning of assessing comparable sites, through schematics, design development, site construction and punch list ….they were creative, practical, responsive, honest and earnest. They felt like us, they knew their business and they got to know ours in a very personal way. Graphiti’s own website was what had originally attracted us to their marketing & branding group. The quality of their team and willingness to help us realize our vision has been what keeps us coming back.
Graphiti is a true partner. They are professional, experienced, confident, and talented, and bring a freshness and nimbleness to their craft which only truly strong designers can.
And now having worked through minor tweaks and tune ups of the site with Graphiti’s help, we can enjoy using our website, growing and molding it to fit who we are and reflect what JAS is about. Not so different from a real 6 month old, for us, it is better than TV. We are even talking about the next one already (with Graphiti Design of course)… funny how that works!
