Bittersweet Day
Hi there Kim and Joe,
Such a bittersweet day! We just had the last meeting with Dennis, Zach, Peter and Lesley in person and Reid in spirit. We are going to miss them. It has been such a joy to work together on this project including spending time with you in the beginning Kim! The space is more than we could have asked for! It’s bright and open and private; somehow both separate and integrated. It has lots of cozy character and texture and niches, and the view to the back garden through the French doors is sublime! It is just a wonderful space that looks like it’s always been here both from the inside and out. It is going to be the perfect space for our son, but it would be the perfect space for anyone lucky enough to live in this house that JAS has built!
We wanted to specifically say to you both that the company you lead is absolutely remarkable. Everyone we’ve met from JAS has been so hardworking and skilled, with vision, expertise and professionalism, but also kind, gentle, creative and friendly. When we think of the work done on this house, we think of the people who did that work and the good spirit they imbued into our home! Beautiful work done by really lovely people… The happy peaceful energy we feel in our “new” home is thanks to everyone who worked on this place and we are grateful for that and to you both for making that possible.
